Une Synthèse des arts

Stéphane Couturier has begun work on new pieces inspired by the heritage of the Yonne department. Fernand Léger’s mural, housed at the Zervos Museum in Vézelay, inspired him to create *Le Mur Déconstruit*, a large tapestry produced in Burgundy with the support of the Departmental Council. Echoing Jean Daladier’s astonishing geodesic structures near Saint-Julien-du-Sault, he has created two sculptures in collaboration with local artists. In recent years, Stéphane Couturier has been diversifying his practice – previously focused mainly on photography – by exploring new media.
