Rando Challenge Découverte

The Rando Challenge Découverte, organised by FFRandonnée Yonne, is a fun, friendly and sporting walking rally, open to everyone. The idea is to cover a route of 8 to 12 km, in teams of 2 to 4 participants and at your own pace, whilst following a map. Along the route, participants must locate waypoints and mark them on the map, answer questions about the local heritage, wildlife, flora, history and features they encounter, whilst completing the route within a target time. Equipment required: suitable footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water, a packed lunch, a first-aid kit, a mobile phone to be used solely for safety purposes, as well as a measuring tool (ruler, measuring tape or a simple piece of string) and one compass per team.
