Focus on the work of Michihiro Shimabuku. He was born in Kobe in 1969. He studied at the College of Art in Osaka and then at the Art Institute in San Francisco. Since 2016, he has lived in Naha, on the Japanese island of Okinawa. His performances, installations and videos bear witness to his attention to the environment, the landscape and animals, his taste for travel and encounters, and his poetic and humorous outlook, which can be seen in the titles of his works.
