Description

As part of Heritage Days 2026, guided tours of the Clock Tower, an iconic monument in the city of Auxerre, are being organised. Climbing the tower requires considerable physical effort due to the ascent and descent of the steps (a 23-metre climb) as well as the narrowness of the access staircase. The following people are not permitted to take part in the tour: - People not wearing closed-toe shoes, such as trainers, suitable for climbing and descending 200 steps that have been worn down by time - Women who are more than three months pregnant - Children under the age of three - People with health conditions, particularly heart problems, mobility issues, respiratory conditions or limited physical ability - People who suffer from claustrophobia For everyone’s safety, the tour guides reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with these conditions.
