Festival Contes Givrés - Moby Disch

A show staged as part of the Contes Givrés festival in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Whale hunting is stupid! Here is the legendary and tragic story of Moby Dick the whale and Captain Ahab, presented by a zany and eccentric sailor. A jumble of old attic odds and ends, pirate trinkets salvaged from bazaars across the globe, from Zanzibar to Timbuktu. Herman Melville’s novel reimagined as object theatre. Suitable for all ages from 7 years old. The neighbouring islands Recycled and handmade. Using very little electricity, our puppets are highly mobile, allowing us to perform in all sorts of spaces. We prioritise the use of recycled materials. We repurpose and utilise rare or everyday objects, sometimes worn and imbued with a story. In the same way, we collect and transform stories and characters to create our worlds, which are always handmade.
