Description
Marie-Pierre Méheust uses red or black clay, which she shapes, assembles and hollows out, along with oxides and pigments applied with a brush; finally, she applies a transparent glaze that brings out the colours. It is from the plant and animal kingdoms that she draws her primary inspiration, combining these two themes with the human element. Her world is poetic, quirky and humorous.
