Exhibition: Paintings by Sylvie Pinon A self-taught painter, Sylvie Pinon has been working for several years in her studio in Gurgy, a lively space open to the public where she welcomes anyone wishing to discover her world. Having always been drawn to the arts, and particularly to painting, she has devoted herself fully to this passion since 2015. Acrylics and, more recently, watercolours have become her preferred mediums of expression. Curious, active and with a wealth of interests in her life, hobbies and sporting activities, Sylvie Pinon draws on this diversity for a constant source of creative energy. Her painting reflects this abundance: multifaceted, varied, and always ready to explore new materials, new surfaces and new subjects. She moves freely between figurative and semi-abstract styles, between vibrant colours and softer shades, and between cats, trees, landscapes and many other pictorial horizons. Since her first solo exhibition in Gurgy in 2020, she has taken part in numerous artistic events, either on her own or alongside other artists. Her career has taken her to Appoigny, Coulanges-la-Vineuse, the Théâtre des Arts in Auxerre, as well as to numerous group exhibitions, notably with the association Les 4 Arts, which has been supporting her since 2021. For her, one conviction stands out: “Diversity enriches life.” A motto that permeates every canvas and invites the visitor to embrace a world of curiosities, colours and emotions.
