Description
As part of the Théâtr'à Chevannes festival, the Compagnie du Carillon will perform this show on Sunday 15 November at 3.00 pm (running time: 1 hour 15 minutes).
Upon arriving in heaven, Jeff finds himself with no personal file and almost no memories, his only clues to his past being a few lines from a play.
To help him recover his memory, Saint Peter, God and his daughter Angélique draw him into an absurd and inventive role-play: Jeff is invited to play the part of Satan, whilst Saint Peter takes on the role of Belzé, his assistant.
Through this mischievous face-off, the play humorously explores the seven deadly sins, and gluttony in particular, whilst reimagining the traditional figures of Heaven and Hell.
“Diableries gourmandes” brings together two short plays by Jean-Paul Alègre, “La Gourmandise” and “La Vie Commence au Théâtre”.
