As part of the 2025 Heritage Days, guided tours of the Horloge Tower, an emblematic monument in the town of Auxerre, are being organised. Climbing up the tower requires a great deal of physical effort, not only because of the 23-metre climb up and down the steps, but also because of the narrowness of the access staircase.
People who are not allowed to visit:
- Anyone not wearing closed shoes, such as trainers, suitable for walking up and down 200 weather-worn steps.
- Pregnant women over 3 months
- Children under 3 years of age
- People with health problems, particularly cardiac, mobility or respiratory problems, or with limited physical capacity
- Claustrophobic people
For everyone's safety, the tour guides reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with these conditions.
