Paper is Juliette Jouannais' favourite material, and she thwarts its flatness to create volumes, reliefs and suspended forms. Lightness, the articulation of full and empty spaces and attention to the reverse side of surfaces are the driving forces behind her work, as is her research into colour ranges.
