A cosy nest at Colombier Vert.
Come and recharge your batteries on the grounds of the former Château de Champlay, in the Yonne. Less than two hours from Paris, between Sens and Auxerre, Le Colombier Vert is a haven of peace on the edge of a small Burgundy village. Formerly the farm of a now-defunct château, the estate belongs to Régis and Véronique. Lovers of heritage and gardens, they are committed to restoring the buildings while respecting their history, ecology and the environment.
The former bakehouse has been converted into a cosy, comfortable gîte, with windows opening onto the 18th-century dovecote.
Ideal for a quiet couple's break, it has a spacious living room on the ground floor and, upstairs, a bedroom with a double bed. A separate area with a single bed can accommodate a child or friend. The natural, contemporary decor adds a relaxing touch to the place.
The lawn in front of the gîte affords views of the dovecote and the barns with their magnificent architecture. A few metres away, a contemporary garden, created and cultivated with respect for biodiversity, invites you to take a stroll through the vegetable garden, natural meadows and medicinal plants.
Welcome and advice by Nathalie from the Conciergerie de l'Yonne.
