Opening on Saturday 22 November at 6pm. A renowned watercolour artist, Bob Chatelain is a painter who makes spontaneity and vivid colours his trademarks. He has won prestigious awards including the Grands Trophées Internationaux des Styles Artistiques de Monaco 2019, the Trophée des Arts de Paris 2020, and the Grand Trophée Côte d'Azur Riviera 2021. Originally from the Chablis region, the countryside of the icaunaise, its landscapes and its light are a constant source of inspiration for Bob Chatelain. His overall body of work pays tribute to the beauty of natural spaces. Claudine Corguillet Dannequin, a retired art teacher, has always painted, sculpted and engraved. Her themes, essentially femininity and birds, can be found in her earthenware, ceramics, watercolours and prints; using demanding techniques and mediums that are the antithesis of ephemeral fashions, where she invites us to dream, between the real and the fantastic. The theme of women and birds is the common thread running through her sculptural work, which she is pursuing with a group of ceramist friends from the Auxerre region.
