Yé ! (L’eau !)

A unique phenomenon, Circus Baobab was born twenty-five years ago in Guinea. Its signature style is acrobatics without apparatus, where performers lean on each other to soar to dizzying heights. Human pyramids, swinging lifts that literally send bodies flying through space, high-speed wheels, electrifying contortions, urban dances... On stage, thirteen young acrobats and dancers: a new generation of artists who recount their daily struggle for the most precious of resources: Yé - water in the Soussou language. Although there is an extraordinary abundance of water in this "water tower" of Africa, the inhabitants are desperately short of it... In a series of visually powerful tableaux, Yé! is a vibrant call to dream the world differently, and a vital celebration of what was its beginning.
