L'intranquillité is widely recognised as a major work? A simple "autobiography without events", as Fernando Pessoa wrote of this diary, shot through with disenchantment, wisdom, love of art... and a nagging doubt about the reality of everything. To say "I" is to be someone else," noted the author, who often wore the literary masks of his famous "heteronyms" (Bernardo Soares is the declared author of The Book of Intranquillity). To grasp the full extent of this existential vertigo, three artists join forces in an atypical combo. Frédéric Pierrot, a stand-out actor in the series En thérapie, writes the text. Alongside him are two big names in syncopation: drummer Christophe Marguet and double bassist Claude Tchamitchian. As a trio, they combine their singular voices for an intense, organic musical reading, propelled by the beautiful and necessary energy of telling L'Intranquillité.
