The history of Saint-Germain Abbey is rich in encounters and diverse occupations that have spanned the centuries. From the École d'Auxerre, a monastic school in the 9th century, through the congregation of Saint-Maur in the 17th century, the military and civil hospitals until 1984, and now a cultural establishment, the abbey perpetuates this tradition of orality.
