I like to create pure forms that are both smooth and textured, reminiscent of the contrasting elements of nature that I glean (bark, boulders, stones, pebbles). The sculptures are deliberately 'open', like eroded scars. Smoothing brings softness, resilience and the desire to touch. Smudging reveals shadows that make the earth vibrate, adding a certain sensuality. I explore graphics and colour with porcelain, like a game of infinite possibilities. Jacqueline LAFOND

Composition, colour harmony, the interplay of values, the search for rhythm and energy - this is my playground. For it is indeed a game, an attentive stroll through the plastic universe. Although academicism is part of my background, I want to take a personal and creative approach. I like to combine different media such as charcoal, ink, art chalk, watercolour (mixed media on paper) and painting (acrylic on canvas). Philippe LAFOND
