This year, we have organised the writing workshops around the major themes that run through the programme.
To open the season, we stopped by Re:INCARNATION. An Afro urban choreographic piece, a colourful musical dance revolution. FIRST WRITING WORKSHOP. And then we met Rosa Bonheur, a singular and free woman, who discovered the Pyrenees "... on horseback... And in trousers". A little further on, Dorothy Parker, an American journalist, writes, deploys her literary talent, resists, commits herself. At the end of March, the Girls with Yellow Hands, workers of the early 20th century, courageously invented the spark of freedom, the right to vote and equal pay. It is with all these women that we will do the SECOND WRITING WORKSHOP. Finally, we went through four shows about research and investigation, missing children, state scandals and family secrets. In this THIRD WORKSHOP, we will write in search of... Of whom? For what? Who knows... !
Each of these workshops will have its own particular construction, but they will all be based on the theories of the GFEN (Groupement Français d'Éducation Nouvelle) whose fundamental precepts are "All capable" and "It is with several that one learns alone". All capable because the series of constraints that structure the workshop are so many guides that never leave anyone alone and helpless in front of their blank sheet of paper. Because "Writing" is not an inspiration that comes from nowhere but is nourished, like any act of creation, by chance associations, randomness and rationality that the writing constraints bring out. This writing is invented within the group, this "many" that becomes a resource for the "one".
And as we are in a theatre, we will never be afraid, because we know that this place protects and illuminates the words, the texts, those who say them... and those who write them.
